Question: What is learning; How do you best learn?

Response:

Learning is the process of acquiring new understanding, knowledge, behaviors, skill, values, attitudes, and preferences. There are four main types of learning: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/ writing. I am personally a kinesthetic learner. I learn best by doing things and being hands on. When it comes to learning new knowledge in school, I learn faster by reading and writing everything down (at least twice). For math class I would redo math problems at least 5 times and did all the extra homework problems. At times I only learn things for a short period of time, and then later I forget about it. The best way I am able to retain knowledge is by consistently practicing/ studying. If I did not understand a concept in school, I liked learning through videos. I still like to learn new skills by watching YouTube videos regularly. When it comes to learning new things at work, I like to watch someone do it once and then I do it. I consider I have learned something, when I am able to train/ teach others. In life I learn things by experience, it is also the most common way to learn anything. However, everyone has different experiences and will learn things differently. I use different methods of learning depending on the information, interest, and importance.
