By changing the law to \"likely to cause dilution\" (Chesseman, H., 2013, pg 175, The Legal Environment of Business and Online Commerce, Seventh Edition), it completely changed the meaning and pmpose behind the law and therefore opened the door to give them the result they sought. The new wording is also very vague. We've all heard it said, \"there is no such thing as with only interpretation\". This could be no truer in this case. With the new wording, \"likely to cause dilution\" is left completely up for interpretation by any residing judge. There are no clear guidelines and therefore no dear right or wrong.
