the figure below. Task times (in minutes) are shown above each task node and the cycle
time for the production of this product has been set at 40 minutes.
a) List three (3) possible orders in which tasks A to K could be performed on an assembly
line.
b) Find a lower bound on the number of workstations required for an assembly line for
this product.
c) Balance the line using the Ranked Positional Weight Technique.
d) Do you think your solution is optimal? Provide an explanation for your answer.
Note:
Be sure to show details of how you obtained tasks assignments to stations using the
line balancing technique under consideration. Simply stating Station 1 has tasks 1,3
& 5 for example will result in a penalty on your grade.
