We discussed three main concepts in the class. Please be prepared to tell me: 1. What is the definition of a limit lim, . f (=) - L? This definition should contain an "epsilon" statement and a "delta" statement. Please tell me what the definition is first, then describe to me in your own words (can be prepared ahead of time) what the definition means to you (like the function gets arbitrarily epsilon close to L as...) 2. What is the definition of a derivative /' (z) Again, state the definition and then describe what it means to you. It would be good if you addressed both the ideas of "slope" and what the limit does. 3. What is the definition of a definite integral. This definition can be found in section 4.3 on page 272 in a purple box. You should describe what the limit is doing, what the delta x represents, what the sigma is, etc. 4.
