Calendaring and billing

Anna Smith was hit by a car in Clarksville, Indiana exactly nine months ago today. She believes the other driver was at fault and wants to sue them. The attorney has met with her, determines that she does have a case, and had you send her an engagement letter. She has set the fee at $100 per hour for legal assistants and double that for herself.

For this Module's Assignment, you are to submit:

• A sample calendar page that you might use for the current month in a law office. Using the example for December in your text, make a calendar page with at least ten different legal activities, one of them being the initial interview with Anna. Be sure to use the current month and include any holidays. You may use software, an online fill in the blank calendar, or you may make paper calendar page, take a photo of it, and upload it as your assignment.
• A bill to Anna for 2 hours of your work and 5 hours of the attorney's.

You may invent any pertinent details you need to, such as names, addresses and facts of the car accident. In the next Module, you will add to these documents with a complete client file.
