Campus and community events are designed by student affairs departments as a way to encourage student engagement in the development of a healthy campus community. Such an event must align with the mission and vision of the student affairs department and the institution as a whole. The first step in implementing an event is to submit a proposal to the appropriate decision makers.

Include the following in your proposal:

• Summary of the proposed event
• Stakeholders who would be involved in the execution of the proposed event
• Resources needed for the event
• How the event will engage diverse populations.
• The anticipated effect the event will have on building a healthy campus community
