Government Intervention - Discussion Groups B 1 From BA601G17-2 In its truest form, a market economy is one where economic decisions guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country's citizens and businesses and there is little government intervention or central planning. While we are considered to have a market economy in the United States, there are still many, many instances where the government plays a large economic role. After reading Chapter 14 and viewing the posted TED Talks, provide an example of at least one way that the government intervenes in the economy. Preferably in a way that you personally experience in your daily life. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the government intervening in this manner? (Note: since we've already covered mergers and antitrust laws, avoid using that as an example!). Post your initial response no later than Thursday, April 29th. In addition to your initial post, you must also post at least two responses to other students due no later than Sunday, May 2nd
