Can someone explain to me what you are supposed to do in order to figure out where on the lines you know how far to each side and how to figure out how to find out how much line over laps one another? I understand how you figure out the Margin or error and Confidence Interval but when there is more then one line, in the picture below; each line over lapping is different and I am unsure of how you figure out each line.

Thanks,

Unit 6: Statistics Lesson 6.4: Confidence Intervals true value (usually unknown) these confidence intervals do 80% confidence intervals not include the true value Note: These 80% confidence intervals were determined using the same samples as the 95% intervals. Notice that the confidence intervals are narrower than the 95% confidence intervals and that 16 of 20, or 80%, of them include the true value.
