4. (15) Younger and older adults participated in a speed of perception study. Each subject had to decide as quickly as possible whether the letter presented was part of the target letter set. The target letters were M, B or Q while all other letters were the non-target letters. The letters were presented either directly in the center of their vision (o-degrees), 4 degrees to the right or left of center, and 8 degrees to the right or left of center.
