Assignment:

Fractal Geometry is simple and beautiful, and out there around us but we never knew it!

If you can find it at your library, a great video you can even watch with the family is "Fractals: The Colors of Infinity" by Arthur C. Clarke. It's only about 50 minutes and even from a non-math point of view, fascinating, plus you get to see some math nerds get really excited about math. ;) It's online but the resolution doesn't do it justice!
