article :- Based on the empirical study done by Pardo,2003 some of the highlighted causes of resistance are: o Deep Rooted values: Some of the resistance can be due to deep rooted values of the individual. This can be things like personal choices, moral and ethical qualms, social and cultural values. o Low motivation due to past failures: There can be low motivation due to past experiences when the individual feels there is an overall lack of change throughout the organization. o Organizational Silence: This can be when there is an overall lack of drive throughout the organizational motivation for change. One of the examples of me resisting change was when my company started facing commercially but the commitments internally were too great for my team to support both internal and external. I was resistant to the change due to lack of resources. I was able to negotiate additional headcount and with multiple users the process updates were driven through continuous improvement.
