In addition, I wanted to announce the opportunity for some extra points (note, we can't call it extra "credit") that I had previously promised.To earn 25-50 extra points to be added to your course total, here's what you would need to do by April 21st:

1. Pick any chapter from your textbook from chapters 2-8. Preferably, you would pick a chapter that you found to be the most "trouble" the first time around, so that you get the most out of this exercise.

2. For that chapter, re-read the textbook and then go back and complete the practice guided examples and practice foundational modules in Connect. If you had already done these, do them again. I just need to see that you completed them between now and 4/21 (which I can see by your "activity" in Connect, since these don't give you a grade).

3. Write a BRIEF (roughly 1-1.5 pages, double-spaced) summary of what you feel like you learned in this extra study, including what gave you the most trouble the first time and WHY you think that may have been the case. There are no "right" answers here. This is a purely reflective exercise just to give you a chance to think about how you approached the material and what you may have changed when you went back to review the material a second time. If you do this for ONE chapter, it's 25 points. If you do it for TWO chapters, it'll be worth 25 x 2 = 50 points.That's all. Again, I'll grade this on "effort," so as long as you complete those requirements you'll get the full 50 points. These points will be added to your course total, boosting your grade by a half-letter grade. (i.e., if your earned points were 850 before considering these extra points, your new course total of 900 points would push you into the "A" range).
