INFORMATION: The following information is available regarding the tax obligations of Scandal LIMITED for the financial years ended 31 March 20X6 and 20X7: 1. The balance owing to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as calculated by the entity on 31 March 20X6 was R4 350 and the total provisional tax payments made in respect of the year ended 31 March 20X6 was R138 000. 2. On 31 July 20X6, Scandal Limited received the final tax assessment from SARS stating that the tax liability for the year ended 31 March 20X6 (before taking into account any provisional tax payments made during the year ended 31 March 20X6) was R149 800. 3. The balance owing to SARS was paid on 31 July 20X6. 4 The following provisional tax payments were made to SARS in respect of normal income tax for the year ended 31 March 20X7: . On 30 September 20X6, a first provisional tax payment on an estimated profit before tax for the year of R881 000. On 31 March 20X7, a second provisional tax payment on the estimated profit before tax for the year of R1 380 000. 5. The tax advisor has calculated the taxable income of Scandal Limited for the year ended 31 March 20X7 to be R1 123 000. 6. The current corporate tax rate is 28%
