1-Problem Study:- The first step is to understand the problem statement
correctly. The use of understanding problem statement is that through it
solutions can be found easily. The main use in terms of Machine learning is
that by understanding problem the requirements in terms of Data can be
understood also process required to work better can be understood.
2-Data Collection:- It is a very challenging task to collect data in real time by
the people especially performing activities by the elderly people. For an
efficient elderly fall detection system, the dataset should contain the falls
and daily life activities performed by the elderly people. This Data should be
collected, and this should also be accurate.
3-Data Preprocessing:- . Once the data is acquired, preprocess the data to
remove the unwanted noise from the data so that better classification can be
performed by the machine learning algorithms. Choose the best filters.
4-Feature Extraction:- Extract the features for the purpose of classification.
The dataset may contain many features extract the features that are useful in
classification
5-Data Analysis:- Do a complete analysis of data for better understanding of
data provided.
6-Fall Detection:- Classify the activity whether it is a fall or not. Use different
classification algorithms check the accuracy apply some test result as well
and verify the working of algorithms then choose the best one for Fall
Detection.
7-Testing:- This part is the toughest and probably tensed part as the Machine
learning model will be tested with real time data. If it succeeds, then passed
to next step or else analyze the issue and take measures that are needed.
8-UI Creation:- Finally if every step is passed create UI or frontend for this
solution.
9-Deployment:- The final product can be deployed to server either through
web services or own server.

1-Problem Study:- Problem study can be taken 3 days to 1 or 2 weeks as
understandability of solution to a particular problem takes time.
2-Data Collection:- This phase is the most time taking phase as if Data is
already available through different sources then its ok , it may not take much
time but if Data is not available then may take 3 or 4 months for collection
of real time data. But there can also occur an issue as 3 or 4 months cannot
produce much needed data so can take as many as month until it fulfills
initial analysis. Accuracy of data completely depends on no of data
available.
3- Data Preprocessing:- It depends on the type of data and quantity of data. It
can take 2 or 3 days or even may be weeks depending on data.
4-Feature Extraction:- This can also take too long as for feature selection
understanding data is important task. It can take months.
5-Data Analysis:- This can also be time taking as with available data insights
are made.
6-Fall Detection:- This does not take much time as machine learning libraries
are already available through different medium just needed to apply it, so it
does not take much time but also time can increase depending on no. of data.
7-Testing:- This can be done in 1 day or may be in a week. As its being tested
real time different it depends on many things.
8-UI Creation:- This can also take a long-time front end developing is not an
easy task so it can take up to 3 to 6 months.
9-Deployment:- Deployment is not a time-consuming task it can be done
easily on different web services or own servers.

1-Problem Study:- It can depend on many factors. The risk of falling and the
number of factors is interrelated i.e., the risk of falling increases as the
number of factors increases. for egg in fall detection the risk factors are
categorized into three main types: behavioral, environmental, and biological
risk factors Behavioral risk factors are related to human actions, emotions,
and activities of daily life. These factors are controllable through the
strategic intervention. If a person falls due to excess intake of drugs, alcohol
then this habit or behavior can be modified by strategic treatment.
Environmental risk factors originate from the surrounding environment of a
person. Slippery floors, insufficient lighting and cracked pathways are some
of the major environmental risk factors.
2-Data Collection:- This task completely depend on the ways data are gathered
it can be through buying or through real time data if its real time then also
risk factors are depended.
3-Fall Detection:- This task depends on data a lot only if data is correct then
only it will work properly.
Resources Allocation
Ui or front-end creation should be divided to 2 people if it is a team of 4. Data
Collection should be responsibility of another team member and Handling and
working on data should be assigned to the 4th member.
Cost
If any electrical equipments are used for data collection like here different sensors
can be used to detect fall this equipment may cost during data collection stage.
Also, if data is being bought through different source at that stage also cost can
occur. Then during deployment process if any we service is used it can cost or
even if own server is used even in those case cost can occur.
Milestones
If the model work properly its fine but still the model needs to be retrained
considering a timeline as new data will be available need to retrain and improve
functionality.
