Drones have been one of the main technological advancements introduced recently. It not only assists with the acquisition process but also aids the entire supply chain process. Drones help with the delivery of goods and services by creating faster and cost$-$efficient ways of delivering products to customers. Other than deliveries, drones may be used to monitor and track shipments that are being delivered in other ways. By doing so$,$ it allows customers to understand exactly where their package is at and ensure that it is being transported properly.

One company in particular, Amazon, stands behind the usage of drones. They created Prime Air which are private drones that help deliver packages to customers all over the world. This has been a work in progress, with the reality of drone usage including many obstacles. One of these obstacles is the FAA and them allowing these drones to fly in all different locations. With the FAA and drones, comes the safety and security of what these drones will be flying over. This includes an extensive plan being made for approval. Another obstacle is the setup of the warehouse that these fulfillment centers will be located. Amazon has named these $$Beehives$$ which will have different locations for these drones to fly into while also having a warehouse and customer service center. These buildings need extensive developments and plans as well when it comes to ecommerce and infrastructure.

Drones and supply chain has been developing over the years but has not fully been adopted into the acquisition process. There are many obstacles that still arise when it comes to the usage of drones and perfecting the process. I do believe that as time goes on$,$ the usage of drones within the delivery and tracking process will be used often.
