Can you review my essay?

Four more courses to take, and the graduation day will be knocking the door. It is finally the last semester and my last tough decision to face when picking the classes. It is hard to choose one out these three excellent options that can contribute so much to my life. For my luck, there are two primary economic principles that we all should consider when choosing one thing over the other, and these are "people face trade-off" and "opportunity of cost." The first principle implies that to get something that you like, you will have to give up on something else. A good example is that to become a successful professional; I must give up some of my hours of been a mom and trade them for some study hours. The other principle helps to understand the value of those hours that are being traded off, helping you to realize the opportunity of cost. In this case, this principle helps you to figure out how much you are losing, to make sure it is worth. The good news is that three of these courses are mandatory, and only one will have to be picked. After narrowing down the options, I decided that my decision is going to be one out of three classes. The three chosen classes are General Education Biology, History of the United States, and Introduction to Computer Technology and Applications. Keeping these concepts in mind, helped me to choose Computer Technology and Applications over the other two classes.

First, I established the benefit of each of these classes by considering the first principle, which is called "people face a trade-off." This concept is applied, as to get something that is liked, something else needs to be given up. The first option was General Education Biology. I have always loved the mystery of the human body, and this course is about the cell concept and the organization of multi-cellular system, a good way to start introducing myself in this world. My other option is History of United States. Who does not want to know about the country where you live. United States is the best country in the world, full of opportunities for everyone, where we can experience freedom. Knowing more about how this country got here is something that I will enjoy and never regret. My third and final option was Introduction to Computer Technology and Applications. I traded off the two first ones for this last one. Well, accounting and technology now days go together, and knowing more about computer technology and its application will help me with my pathway chosen. Not only I will be more prepared when using the many options that technology offers, but this will add skills to my resume by making myself a more valuable employee for any company that chooses me.

Second, to assure my decision was the best option: I analyzed the opportunity of cost. The cost of something is what we give up getting it. To measure the cost of the loss of these classes, I reviewed their differences and similarities. I considered the tuition, books, miles, gas, and my valuable time. General Education Biology is only provided at the Medical Campus during the week, while History of US is a course that I can take in multiples location but only during the week as well. On the other hand, Computer Technology and Application can be taken no only on campus during the week, but it is also available online. The cost of the hard books of each of these classes is very high, but there is an option for the online class. All virtual classes allow you to purchase an online book, which end up being cheaper. By analyzing these details, I was able to decide. I chose Computer Technology and Application. By taking this class online, I will be able to make my own schedule. I will divide my time between work, family, and school at my own convenience. There won't be more stress in having to figure out who will pick up my baby at the daycare, or about asking my manager so I can leave work earlier because of the traffic. Furthermore, there will be no waste of time in miles to travel which implies a huge saving in gas. My saving in tuition and books is going to be huge. By choosing Computer Technology and Application, I will save my time and my money, and I will spend them with the most important thing in my life, my family.

In conclusion, it is incredible how by analyzing "the opportunity of cost" and how "people face trade-off" helped me to review my choices and take the best decision. Computer Technology and Application is the best complementary class that I can take. Through analyzing the concept "people face trade-off"; I realize the value in it, and how by giving up on the other I will be gaining as well. On the other hand, reviewing "the opportunity of cost", made feel more confident, as I could compare the cost of what I give up. With the help of these two concepts, I finally chose my missing class.
