A radial saw base has a mass of 50 kg and is driven by a motor. The motor runs at constant speed and produces a 15 Newton force at 240 RPM. The manufacturer wants a vibration absorber designed to drive the table oscillation to less than 0.01 mm. Design the absorber assuming that the stiffness provided by the table legs is 2500 N/m. Absorber should have a maximum deflection of 1 mm. Handle Motor Blade Base Legs Figure 1 A pipe carrying steam through a building vibrates violently when the driving pump operates at a speed of 180 RPM. In order to design a vibration absorber, a trial mass of 1.0 Kg absorber, tuned to the 180 RPM, was attached to the pipe as shown in Figure 2. By changing the pump speed, it was found that the pipe-absorber system has a resonance at 100 RPM. Redesign the absorber so that the natural frequencies of the system are less than 75 RPM and more than 300 RPM Make the necessary assumptions for this design problem to simplify your design solution.
