CanineSoft has been contracted by the U.S Army to upgrade the target acquisition and control system (TACS) for the IAV Stryker armored fighting vehicle. CanineSoft has determined that data is necessary in order for the system to function properly and large portions of the existing database must be developed or modified. In addition, the status of the applications that access that data must be evaluated to ensure proper integration between existing application modules and new database structures. The Army requires the the database development must occur through a fully defined change management process. As the first step, CanineSoft will prepare a top-level plan for adopting change management into their existing database lifecycle process. in order to execute that plan for this project. Your task is to help prepare this plan. Within the plan only major steps of the database lifecycle process need to be organized into the change management framework. In other words, I'm not looking for a configuration management plan, but it would be best to start at the point at which the database development/changes were identified as a requirement of the larger scope of the system project (likely within the system analysis phase of the SDLC). Focus on the processes and activities the DA and DBA would need to perform as they progress through the lifecycle (as was taught to you in CIS1200).. A couple of those requirements reference the development of additional plans. You can assume they already exist, but you'll need to integrate their use within the activities performed to satisfy those requirement.
