Career success begins with getting that first job. Again, it is important that you take the job that is right for you not because it is the first job offer you receive or because they are paying you more than what you are currently making. Take the job because it is the right fit for you. I always ask students what they will do after graduation and most answer "I will find a good job." What does that mean? Is a good job making lots of money? Is it being happy with your job? Do the hours you work make you happy? Or is it the people you work with? When I was working in San Marcos the money was great, but my immediate supervisor was awful. I spent half my paycheck in doctor's visits and medication because of the stress I was under. Remember you have great value and you have earned a great job at a great company. An education does not make you a better person, a rich person, or a smart person. Your education gives you options that other people do not have. Your education commands respect and gives you opportunities to direct your life in the way you want to live it.
