Case Description:
Online Review System (ORS)
RenoKing provides house repair services serving customers in the GTA area. The company, with 20 professionals specialized in plumbing, roofing, carpentering, flooring, electricity, and foundation, has been very successful. Recently, RenoKing is planning to enhance the quality of its customer service by developing and implementing an Online Review System (ORS). As a business analyst, you are hired to develop requirements for the system based on the following detailed description.
The Online Review System would allow a customer to go online and post his or her comments on the recent service provided in his or her house. In order to post a comment, the customer must be a registered account holder. In other words, the customer need to make account with his or her full name, address, contact information, and a profile name to appear along with the comment.
Each comment could include the following content: the type of service (e.g., plumbing, roofing) provided, date and time that the service was provided, the name of the professional who was in charge of the service work, and assessment of the work. Once a customer completes a comment, he or she can choose to save the comment and post it later or post it immediately.
In addition to the above content, a posted comment shows the date and time that the comment was posted and the profile name of the customer who posted the comment. A customer is allowed to search comments he or she posted, and edit and delete the ones that have been posted. ORS keeps track the history of a comment.
There is a staff member from RenoKing who monitors comments posted and delete those with profane and vulgar languages. Managers of RenoKing can also use ORS to generate reports on posted comments.
