MIS 6?]3 Case Assignment 2 Read the Sakurai and Kokuro {21318} case study. Assume that your team represents the Technology Steering Committee for Panasonic's Fujisawa Smart Small Town as of the date on which this semester started. Now imagine that Fujisawa SST has been offered a substantial grant from Japan's Ministry of Urban Development [also assume that Japan has such a ministry], which can be used to fund one of the following technological improvements: 1} Data Driven Marketing with the purpose of increasing interest in the town and increasing the population 2} Data Driven Marketing of products and services to residents 3} Improvement of the town's Information Security Infrastructure 4} Improvements to the \"Smart" systems which determine utility demand and hence production while the Ministry as well as the legislature have already expressed support forthe grant. they have not yet determined how much funding to provide. Their support stems from widespread popular support for the success of the town, and the elected officials seem eager to take credit for the expected successes. Since no budget yet exists, there is substantial paperwork which needs to be completed. The first step is a detailed proposal andjustification. Your task: Compose a recommendation report for the Mayor of Fujisawa SSI'. This report should 1} Identify which technological improvement to pursue. Please consider the 4 identied above plus one more which you determine. for a total of 5 potential alternatives. Please use the DECIDE model to frame your analysis. Hint: the Mayor is very focused on the support that you give to the establishment of each criterion that you identify, as she is often asked to defend her choices in detail before the legislature as well as the town's primary sponsor {Panasonic}. 2} Create a roadmap to the implementation of the initiative that you decide to recommend with a timeline that shows which resources would need to be mobilized at each phase of implementation. 3} Create a financial projection, including anticipated costs, anticipated returns, Return on Investment, and Payback Period. You will need to estimate most of the numbers, feel free to do so. This task is likely going to require yourteam to conduct substantial external research. Please remember to cite your references using a wellestablished standard, such as APA, MLA, Chicago, or Harvard style. Also, please remember to use both in-text citations as well as full references at the end ofthe proposal. Remember, the audience is the Mayor of Fujisawa SST, not Dr. Furner, so address the paper to her. Also remember, she is a busy executive so please follow best practices in terms of structure and readability
