1 Create an external Hierarchy for Material

TASK

In your InfoObject material MA create an external hierarchy reflecting the component view. For the hierarchy use technical name COMP, description Components. The final outcome should look like this:

The components can be seen in master data

While maintaining the hierarchy it is sometimes helpful to switch mode Insert as Child/Insert as Neighbor

2 Create a Query to analyze components

TASK

The purpose of this step is to create a query using the external hierarchy created in the previous step. Use technical name _R1Q7_, description _R1Q7_ Component View. Use 2011 as filter value and convert revenue to US$. Show revenue as percentage of the overall result as well. The final outcome should look like this:
