Case Study Phase I - Report 1. Objectives This case study's main objective is to allow students to learn more about operating systems and their most common issues. Select their preferred area in the field of operating systems and compare it with current state of the art approaches and finally propose their own new ideas.

2. Introduction Today, computers play an essential role in our lives thanks to the graphical operating systems that run on computers. Although the operating systems facilitate our interaction with computers, some issues and challenges need to be solved. In this case study, you will write a research paper to discuss at least two of operating systems' problems.

Presentation of the context You should write a research paper on at least two of the issues that arise on one of the operating systems' subjects. The paper should include three main sections, introduction, body, and conclusion. As an example, First Come First Serve is a well know CPU scheduling algorithm. However, it has many drawbacks. The algorithm should be explained well first. Then, the issues are discussed.
