CASE: You are a consultant specializing in L & D, and you have been retained by one of the hotels of Small Ski Resort, a small, traditional ski resort in German speaking Switzerland that has been catering to regional clients from German speaking Switzerland and some guests from German speaking neighboring countries since many years. The offering has been targeted at low to mid-level budgets mostly. - Large Ski Resort is larger, internationally known ski resort not far from Small Ski Resort they are separated only by a mountain range. Large Ski Resort has been catering to a global clientele since many years. All budget levels are targeted, with a substantial offering in the luxury range. The two resorts have decided to build a cable car that will take guests on the mountain range that separates the two resorts and to create ski slopes where guests can ski down from there on both sides. This way both resorts will be joined into a larger ski area and will offer more slopes and activities to all guests. The political leaders and many business owners of Small Ski Resort expect that connecting the two resorts will bring more guests, including a much more international clientele and a higher average budget per guest. However a substantial number of residents are unsure about whether the new arrangement will really profit Small Ski Resort and worried about the coming change. Your task is to design a training program for the staff of the hotel to be ready for the new situation when both resorts will be connected. Please start with a half to full day kick off workshop and describe the elements of the workshop, including its official objectives, and if applicable, its hidden agenda. Then describe the main elements of the remaining program that will stretch over four to six months: what types of training will be offered to which employees in the hotel? Take into consideration the different job types that are typically present in a hotel. Please structure your answer as you would for a busy supervisor or client: with visual structuring elements such as subtitles and bullet points. Be concise: do not exceed 500 words.
