While you were on that site, hackers had enough time to break into your e-mail and steal private information from your company computer, which then gave them access to an upcoming release of a new product at work. Your employer was able to find where the hacker got into the system, and your computer was the cause. Since it was your fault, you were then red for hurting the company. Because of situations like this that are not uncommon, nearly 62 percent of U.S. companies monitor employee Internet connections (Piazza 42). As technology advances, it is becoming easier for hackers to get into company computers or others private information. This is why companies, large or small, should regulate their employee's activity on company computers because it will help to avoid hackers being able to get into their system and to keep employees in check by making sure they are doing their job while on the clock
