Central to all genocides is the "othering" of minority groups before they are targeted for killing. How were Armenians represented as the "other" of the Ottoman Empire? How did this minority status and exclusion leave them vulnerable or targets for genocide in 1915? Why are minority groups within societies most vulnerable to "othering?"
