Chapter 6 SunQuest Destinations invited tenders for building a holiday resort in the rainforest on Vancouver Island. Bob the Builder, who runs a resort construction company, submitted a bid on the construction projects. Seeing an excellent business opportunity, he also bought land next to the proposed resort. He intended to build a restaurant on that land and capitalize on the resorts customers to eat in his restaurant. Unfortunately, the detailed description of the project in the tender invitation document contained several significant errors. When SunQuest discovered these errors, it cancelled the project. Bob now owns worthless land in the middle of the forest.
