Chapter 8 Lab: Confidence intervals Please create a document with your name on it and submit to Moodle. This lab should be pretty quick. From MyStatLab/StatCrunch select Data Sets from your textbook, then open the data file \"bears Page 294 Exercise 25.\" Here is the problem from the book. The sample mean will be automatically calculated for you when you create the confidence interval. Go to Stat T Stats One Sample With Data (you got that, right? You have a list of their individual weights... the actual data.) Select the column \"Bears\" and check the radio (round) button for Confidence Interval for . It will be pre-set for .95 (95%) confidence interval. The rest of the information can be left with no changes. Note that StatCrunch will report only ONE standard error ( E= s n ), however for this assignment we will be using the formula from the book for the 95% confidence interval, E= 2s n which doubles this value (see the 2 in the top??). The \"2\" in the formula is specific to the 95% interval and will be critical to your answer to question #2, so that your answers for questions 3 and 4 agree with StatCrunch. (There will be very minor discrepancies in the numbers as StatCrunch will use a more precise factor of 1.96 instead of 2 to calculate the +/- value to arrive at the upper and lower limits). 1. What is the mean? 2. What is the total standard error for a 95% confidence interval? 3. Based on the 95% confidence interval, what is the lower limit? 4. Based on the 95% confidence interval, what is the upper limit? 5. Write a statement (using words as well as notation) using the confidence interval from this example, meaning your statement should mention bears
