Carlie is an infant and toddler caregiver at an early learning learning center. She always enjoyedcaring for Jacob, a happy-go-lucky two-year-old, and interacting with his mother, Amanda.Amanda just started bringing her new baby, Adam, to the early learning center, and Carlie has noticed that Amanda is often out of sorts, disheveled, short tempered, and that she often looks dejected and her voice and affect are mostly flat. Amanda is so different from the way she was before she gave birth that Carlie is concerned .One day when Amanda picked up Jacob and Adam, Carlie was shocked to see Amanda give Adam a shake when he wouldn't stop crying. Before she can say anything, the family is out the door. Carlie thinks Amanda might have postpartum depression, and she's concerned for Adam and Jacob.
