CHECKING YOUR UNDERSTANDING B =2.0T A circular loop with 200 coils and of radius 10 cm is (out of page) initially placed in a uniform magnetic field of magnitude, B = 2.0 T as shown on the diagram. It is then rotated at a direction where its axis makes an angle of 90. The rotation lasted for 3.0 seconds. Determine the following: 1. Initial magnetic flux @Bi, through the loop. 2. Final magnetic flux @Bf through the loop after it was rotated. 3. Magnitude of the induced emf & in the loop during the rotation. 4. Determine the direction of the induced magnetic field. 5. Determine the direction of the induced emf or current in the loop. Note: The direction of the magnetic field is out of page which is represented by dots. Imagine that each magnetic field line is like an arrow. When those arrows are approaching, then you will only see the head of each arrow like a dot. When the direction is opposite or into the page, the representation is "X" which is like the tail of an arrow, which is the image you will see as it moves away from you.ACTIVITY 3 Directions. Analyze the following set up and read the explanation below. Your task is to: 1. Draw an arrow inside the coil to indicate the direction of the induced magnetic field. 2. Draw arrows inside the ammeter to indicate the direction of induced emf or current inside the coil. SET UP 1 SET UP 3 The magnet is moving towards the coil which The magnet is moving towards the coil which increases the flux inside the coil. decreases the flux inside the coil.
