All other employees paid half price for all food and did not receive benefits. Water, coffee and tea were free to all employees. Employees paid half price for any other beverage. The level of pilferage and theft at the Golden Apple Restaurant was a constant challenge for managers (there had been four general managers in the property in the past 12 months) and constant conflict with staff and customer dissatisfaction of service delivered. He told the general manager he would have to pay for the items himself at full price. The general manager paid for the details as instructed. The general manager gave his termination of employment notice the next morning.
