Chillin Ice cream, a maker of ice cream, wants to identify the ideal temperature requirements of their freezer so that their ice cream would not melt for at least three hours in room temperature. Scientific research has claimed that all ice cream that has been frozen at 10OC will not melt for at most three hours after it is exposed at room temperature. Mr. Kim, a chemist of the Chillin Ice cream company is not convinced with the experiment presented in the scientific study as he believes that their methodology is flawed. Hence, he wants to prove whether the 10OC freezing temperature is already enough so that Chillin Ice cream quality and product standards are met. With this, he took thirty-five sacks of ice randomly from their entire production (the ice cream in this production run were frozen at 10OC) and have observed that it took an average of three hours and 5 minutes for the ice cream to completely melt in room temperature. Likewise, the variance of the melting times among each sack that was studied by Mr. Kim is 2 hours.

Does Mr. Kim have enough evidence at the 0.10 level to conclude that the ice cream of Chillin Ice cream are compliant to the quality standards that the company enforces? Explain your answer by performing confidence interval.

Does Mr. Kim have enough evidence at the 0.01 level to gauge whether the ice cream of Chillin Ice cream are the best in the industry, in consideration of the results of the scientific research that was reported? Explain your answer by performing inferential statistics-hypothesis testing.
