STORY: You are working on an intake shift at an agency that provides social-recreational activities, life skills, and support groups to people living with mental illness. It is the end of what has turned out to be a very busy day with some complicated situations. Mr. Creswell, a well-groomed, polite and articulate man, walks in and becomes your fourth client.

You begin to gather some information from Mr. Creswell to ascertain whether your services are appropriate for him. During the course of describing his depression to you, Mr. Creswell mentions that his bouts of depression increased after being released from prison just over a year ago.

In clarifying the situation further, Mr. Creswell shares with you that he was imprisoned as a result of having been found guilty of sexually molesting his wife's younger sister, who was living with them at the time.

Mr. Creswell states that his goal is to learn to live with his depression and, if possible, to re-establish his relationships with his family. Mr. Creswell asks you if you will help him to reconnect with his family.
