Chris Smith - Owner and Senior Accountant B.Ec. (Accounting major), M.Tax (UNSW), FIPA Director Chris is a registered tax agent and an accountant who has been in public practice as an accountant since 1999. He has gained a broad range of tax and accounting experience dealing with different clients, including individuals, farmers, businesses and selfmanaged superannuation funds. He has prepared financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed superannuation funds, as well as personal tax returns. He has also previously worked for the Australian Taxation Office. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and a member of the National Tax & Accountants Association. Kylie Green On completion of her year 12 VCE, Kylie joined the Creative Accounting team in November 2017 whilst she studied for her Bachelor of Accounting. Kylie attained her qualification in 2020 as well as gaining a wealth of experience along the way. Kylie received numerous Academic awards during her studies. Kylie is a highly valued member of the Creative Accounting Team. Khalid Mahmood Khalid joined Creative Accounting in November 2014 as an accountant after working in accounting firms in Regional Victoria and Melbourne. Khalid's qualifications include Master of Professional Accounting (RMIT University), Master of Commerce (UNSW) and Certificate in Foundation Taxation (The Tax Institute). Khalid works in all areas of compliance for businesses including the preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, FBT Returns and Business Activity Statements. Xiangchen Lie Xiangchen joined the firm in 2015 as a senior accountant and in January 2021.
During their tenure, Xiangchen has diligently worked on many of the firm's largest clients, developing strong relationships with their clients along the way. Xiangchen has a deep understanding of the more complex areas of business services and taxation involving CGT, GST, FBT, Division 7A and small business concessions. They have also delivered engagements for the liquidation and deregistration of companies, structuring, estate planning and due diligence. Barry Brown Barry has been with the firm since graduating from Monash in 2007. He obtained his CPA in 2012 and has enjoyed helping local businesses grow and meet their compliance obligations since. He is passionate about implementing technology that makes life easier for clients and their businesses. Barry grew up on the Mornington Peninsula and loves spending time with his young family on the weekends. Sarah Pickle Sarah has been working in the accounting field since 1994 and has always worked in public practice. Her professional background includes a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash and she is also a qualified CPA. Sari has completed financial planning study in 1998 and also practices as a financial planner. She has been a partner in the firm since 2002. She provides business services to many small to medium sized businesses on the Mornington Peninsula and enjoys this area of work, also offering financial planning and superannuation services to these clients. On a personal level she enjoys riding and competing her horse, spending time with her family and holidays. Karina Ramirez Karina has been Creative Accounting since 2011. She recently earned her chartered accountancy qualification. She specialises in superannuation accounting and knows the MYOB and Xero digital accounting platforms like the back of her hand.
