Christie was so happy the way project work had been progressing. She was the project manager and responsible for successful accomplishment of the project deliverables.

Christie was so happy the way project work had been progressing. She was the project manager and responsible for successful accomplishment of the project deliverables. She was however facing performance related issues from an employee named Loyd. Christie knew from the reputation that Loyd was a low average employee and often considered as a troublemaker. The tasks that he was expected to complete were a bit more complex and sensitive. The team supervisor also disliked Loyd and informed Christie about Loyd's low average performance in the last projects too. He also informed the manager that Loyd attitude is changing, and he will involve if the issues arise in future. Reluctantly, Christie agreed to allow Loyd to continue in her project. Loyd wanted to work on the project in the way he feels best suited. He had been involved in too many projects and convinced that he is adding value to the project. Christie did not like people not following her directions. Neither, she had a complete project plan in place to give directions to the team. Loyd's work was now getting late and had emissions/errors. Now Loyd started criticizing the manager and her plan and he had started influencing the team members. Christie was thinking to speak to resource manager in this context and escalate to the project sponsor, if necessary. She was however thinking if she has handled the situation professionally and did everything, which could have been done to address the situation. She was also thinking about the consequences of placing adverse report to the project, team and her reputation as well. She was also thinking how Project office can help in case she reports this case to them. Questions 1. What options are available to Christie? 2.
