Clean Co. produces 3 types of soap: A, B and C. Production of these soaps can be made in two factories: Factory 1 and 2. Below tables provide unit cost of producing 1 unit of soap in a given factory as well as one-time fixed cost of producing a type of soap in a given factory by any amount. Production in any factory is limited by 300 during the planning horizon in which demand for soap types A, B, C is 150, 200 and 150, respectively. Additionally, company requires at least half of the production of A and C to be in the first factory. Furthermore, B and C should not be produced only by Factory 1. Formulate an LP that determines a production plan for Clean Co. while minimizing total cost for the planning period.
