Client is 16 years old, assigned male at birth, and recently revealed that they may be bisexual. Shortly after, they expressed interest in dressing femininely and have pursued gender affirmation procedures. Their mother is supportive of the exploration yet has concerns that the process is moving too quickly and that they do not realize the weight of this decision. Their mother also has concerns that an eating disorder may be developing due to restrictive eating patterns and weight loss.
