CLO1.2; Consider the following Go-back-N scenario, and answer the questions:

Assume the sender sent a number of packets back-to-back (i.e., pipelined), and all packets arrived at the receiver side except the second packet. Recall that the window size is the number of packets allowed to be transmitted in pipelined mode. What is the window size?

CLO1.2; Recall that in GBN, receiver sends back cumulative acknowledgement and requires packets to arrive in-order. If out-of-order packet arrived at receiver side, the receiver will resend the last ACK. In our scenario, the receiver already ACK packet 11, then sent a number of ACKs. How many additional ACK(11) did the receiver send back to the sender?

CLO1.2; After receiving the first ACK, the window moved one step to higher sequence number. What will the window be like when the second ACK arrives?

CLO1.2; After the timeout, how many packets will be sent?

Sender Receiver t=0 Window size, N Seq11 14 15 16 17 ACK (11) ACK (??) ACK ACK timeout pkt(12) se
