Colleges and universities across America are huddling to determine how, if at all, their policies with regards to undergrad academics should change in the aftermath (we hope !) of the pandemic. During the pandemic a number of schools had abandoned SATs and the ACT for admission. Most schools adopted more lenient policies with respect to taking courses pass/fail. A number of schools relaxed requirements for graduation.
Please write memo to President Aoun of Northeastern with a recommendation as to which of the changes in undergrad admission and/or academic policies you recommend become permanent, and why.
Note: As you have probably surmised, this question is designed to see if you've figured out how to write an effective policy memo and if you can address the issues as an economist would. For this reason, you are allowed considerable latitude with respect to facts. In other words, don't panic if you do not know what the University changed. If that's the case, you have my permission to be creative.
