comment on "a union is an organization formed by workers that join together and use their strength to have a voice in the workplace. Employees have the ability to negotiate from a position of strength with employers over wages, benefits, workplace health and safety, job training, and other work-related issues. "Unions also serve an important role, making sure that management acts fairly and treats its workers with respect" (Union Hall 2023). Members of healthcare unions include nurses, physicians, and those who work in departments such as health information management. The National Labor Relations Act of 1935, is also known as the Wagner Act. This act regulates union and employer relations in the private sector. The seventh section allows employees the right to self-organize and to form, join, or assist labor organizations. The CFO cannot restrict or prevent any individual for partaking in the union if they wish to do so. The CFO has the right to not join, but cannot stand in the way of their team. Under the NLRA of 1935, it is illegal for the CFO to prohibit you from soliciting for a union during non-work times such as before and after work and during break times
