comment on posts: While selfefficacy is the belief we have in our ability to succeed in a specific task or situation, someone that has a high level of selfefficacy tends to be overconfident and to allocate fewer resources and less effort to the task at hand, thereby resulting in lower levels of task performance.
A couple of examples managers can do to help their employees whom have high levels of selfefficacy are to have confidence in your employees, improve training and professional development practices, and managing employees' stress levels. Managers can gauge and monitor the employees to ensure the workplace remains balanced and healthy. Employee performance reviews would help curb productivity issues as well as personality differences. I feel there can be a healthy boundary though with a selfefficacy employee. A healthy type will be a leader and take charge of a project or group.
