Complete both parts.

Part a) Create your own context and problem -

Create your own context and data set to demonstrate your understanding of linear regression and the least squares regression line. Be sure to explain all of your reasoning. Please make certain to explain a real-world context for each variable.

  • Describe your data set and context. Make certain we understand your variables.
  • Create a table in Fathom displaying your data, graph your data, and use Fathom to find the LSR.You can choose to use a different tool than Fathom, but please reference what tool you are using.
  • Make certain your data satisfy the conditions for the least squares regression (LSR) line. Describe why this is the case.
  • Verify the LSR from Fathom by using a summary table to obtain the appropriate statistics necessary to find the slope of the LSR and then the equation of the LSR. Use these statistics and formula, presented in the section, to find the slope. Then, find the equation of the line and verify that it agrees with the line found by Fathom.
  • Interpret the slope of your line within the context of your problem.
  • Interpret the vertical intercept within the context of your problem.
  • Use your line to make a prediction.
  • Make certain to include all appropriate tables and graphs in your response.
  • Be supportive of your classmates as necessary and help them with their problems and ask any clarifying questions of their work.

Part b) Correlation does not imply causation -

  • Give at least one example to explain why correlation does not imply causation (a real-world study or example would be helpful). Fully explain your understanding of this concept through your example. If you use an external source to help, please make certain to cite the source properly. You must explain the example in your own words and use in-text citations as
