Choose approaches, strategies or ideas that are evidence- based and proven to positively impact the outcomes for children and their families. For example, there is much evidence about play-based learning and nature-based play. Ideas and strategies to engage and teach children using these approaches innovatively could be fun to explore. Do not limit yourself to these, they're simply an example to get you thinking. Also reflect on the information you've gathered through feedback and self-assessment about your own professional practice and consider whether you want to innovate on a pre-existing strength or develop an area in which you don't feel as a strong. Keep in mind that you will also be leading a team through an innovation project at the same time, so keep it simple, manageable and well-aligned with what the team are doing.
