Addressing compliance matter 2

Scenario: Setting the scene

To establish workplace policies and procedures comply with relevant WHS laws, a full audit will be conducted by the WHS Manager. To assist in the audit process and in establishing WHS legislative compliance, the WHS Manager has requested that you assess the Emergency Management (Emergency Action Plan ) and Incident reporting (WHS Hazard and Incident Report Procedure) processes for compliance with relevant WHS laws. This will require your use of logical planning as well as demonstrating an understanding of WHS Legislative compliance to identify relevant information and hazards.

Assessment task instructions

For Plan2go or your alternative organisation:

1. Access the Emergency Management (Emergency Action Plan ) and Incident reporting (WHS Hazard and Incident Report Procedure)and compare them to the compliance requirements of the WHS laws. Summarise details of their compliance or non-compliance.
2. Summarise the outcomes of your compliance assessment.
3. Make recommendations for changes to policies or procedures to achieve compliance with WHS legislation to achieve WHS legal compliance.
