Description In this laboratory you will be installing different operating systems. We will install Fedora Linux, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2008R2. Following installation, each machine will have an administrator account created (on Linux the name of that account is root). Also we will learn and understand Hypervisor technologies (Windows Hyper-V or VMWare). Objective Provide the student with the knowledge of installing Operating System and virtualization technologies. This is essential information for decision making of which OS and implementation is the correct choice in different situations.Configure the OS for duplication/replication process and or deployment.

Network configuration Use VMWare, Virtual PC or Hyper-V to make the installation observing the minimum requirements. User the following when configuring the network, Do NOT use DHCP to assign the IP address. Assign a static IP address. Use 10.10.1.XXX where XXX will be different for each installation.

Answer the following questions about each product: 1. Describe the purpose of each operating system? 2. What are the minimum requirements for each operating system? 3. What operating system did you recommend and why?
