Congratulations, you are the HR manager at your place of employment. One of the departments is hiring an employee. The Hiring Manager and team of 4, determined the key skills needed to accomplish the job and assigned an equal weight to each key skill area (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, and interview).

Next, the team interviewed 5 candidates, and scored each candidate based upon the key skill, its weighting, summed each candidates score and presented you the following compiled table:

Assignment:

1. Identify four skills that you would evaluate. This could be, for instance, years experience in the field, education, etc., that best represent your place of employment. These skills would replace the terms KS1, KS2, etc.
2. Using the provided summary scores, your new identified skills and excel, make a Radar graph of the five skills of the 5 candidates (see example below, be sure to update the chart title, Key Skills names, etc.).
3. Evaluate the graph and make a hiring recommendation in the form of not more than one paragraph. Further, post your recommendation in the excel spreadsheet along with the Radar graph.
4. All of the Key Skill areas were weighted equally. If KS1 was weighted 2 times as much (i.e, 2) and Key Skills 3 and 4 one-half (i.e., 1/2) as much (with KS2 and the interview still being weighted 1), instead of all being weighted equally, would your hiring recommendation change why or why not? The answer should also be no more than one paragraph in length and also posted in the excel spreadsheet.
