Congratulations, you have just been appointed Director of Supply Chain for Shot in the Arm Vaccines Ltd, based here in Toronto The previous Director died from Covid, now you are in charge. The following describes the situation of your company:

2 million vaccine kits are expected to arrive each month beginning on May 1, 2021, yes they were supposed to shipped earlier but some suppliers lied about the dates when the contracts were signed by Prime Minister Trudeau.

You have 3 suppliers, Fizzzer,Interna and Notsohotica.

The vaccines are being shipped to Canada from Britain, Japan andMexico. The transportation modes have not been decided on.

The previous Director has not established how you will distribute them in Canada when they get here.

You have limited frozen storage capacity in your 3 warehouses (Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax)

Your 3 warehouses are already at 90% of their capacity and have a lot of old, very slow moving stock in them.

You have 3 separate IT systems, one for Vancouver, one for Toronto and one for Halifax. The systems do not communicate with each other.

The previous Director had not set any performance measures in place to establish the effectiveness of your operation.

On the good side, the government has provided significant funding your firm to accomplish your goals, but your firm does not have very good financial managment capability.

You start the job on May 1 right after your exam. What are you going to do about the situation your firm is in given you have to manage the SC of the vaccine in Canada.
