You will still look at a specific industry and consider most of the relevant questions from option # 1 about the effects that this event had on the market. In addition you may consider how this affected the overall supply chain for this good and whether there were surprising changes or problems in the market.

You can also include analysis from outside resources, but the focus should be on positive analysis. You likely will want to include data and/or graphs. Use at least 3-5 credible resources for your research and cite them. You can use any of the standard citation methods. Some resources may be directly about the event while others may be background information or theoretical ideas important to your paper.
