Consider the blending system shown in Fig. 1 with the following assumptions: F: c, F ho Tank 1 Tank 2 F F F Tank 3 Fig. 1 Blending System i. Tanks 1 & 2 are on the same level and tank 3 is beneath them and each has different cross- sectional area. ii. F1, F2, ..., Fo are the volumetric flowrates of pure water. iii. Three different solutes (A, B, and C) are added in this process and their concentrations are expressed as CA, CB, and Cc (kg solute/m3 water). iv. F3 stream is pure water. v. Physical properties can be assumed to be constant everywhere. vi. The valves are nonlinear such that Fath and the proportionality constants are B1, B2, and 3. vii. No chemical reaction is taking place. Write mathematical models to describe the following and state any observation or note worth mentioning: 1) Without any math. Describe what would happen once the process has started and the valves are opened. 2) The liquid height in each tank. 3) The concentrations of A, B, and C. 4) Repeat the problem if the valves are replaced by pumps and all the tanks are placed at the same level
