Which elements of these two approaches do you believe help children move toward a more advanced level of moral reasoning? Or, should the goal be for children to just obey elders and learn to follow the rules? The point here is not to choose between the two. DeVries was mentored by Kohlberg and they were close friends. She was building on his work but has specialized in the application for younger groups of children.
